AHRC NYC offers a variety of employment training programs and employment opportunities that help people to achieve their goals.

Preparing for Work

All activities and opportunities in the area Preparing for Work support people in achieving their vocational dreams and establishing their place in the community. AHRC New York City’s employment training services include: School to Work programs, Daily Job-Readiness programs, Internships, and Career Training programs.

Obtaining and Maintaining Work

AHRC NYC offers Direct Placement Programs for individuals who are interested in direct employment opportunities, as opposed to an internship or a training program. Our programs also offer people with intellectual and developmental disabilities opportunities to enter the workforce, and to be successful in maintaining their employment.

Employment services are available to individuals with developmental disabilities 18 and older, and some specified services are available to individuals without disabilities who meet income guidelines from all five boroughs.
