SERVICES - DISADVANTAGED YOUTH

AHRC offers limited opportunities to disadvantaged youth in its Internships and Training programs. These programs help youth ages 16 to 24 with or without documented disabilities who meet the financial eligibility guidelines to find the direction they want in life. The internships and training programs provide a planned, supervised setting in which they gain valuable entry-level workexperience in an expected career field.

In addition to gaining practical career-oriented skills, they expand their professional knowledge while developing contact. They learn about resume building, time management and teamwork. After their internships and training is completed they receive assistance in finding jobs.
