Intensive Behavioral Services

This service is available for people who live in the Bronx at home with their families or independently, and who present challenging behaviors which put them at risk for placement in a more restrictive setting.

AHRC New York City provides a team of psychologists who work with the person presenting challenging behaviors and their family members to establish and carry out a behavior plan to change the challenging behaviors, and to enable the individual to remain in a least restrictive setting.

Bronx DDRO Contact:

This service requires prior approval from the Bronx Developmental Disabilities Regional Office, (DDRO).  If the service is approved, the DDRO representative may contact AHRC NYC to initiate the service.
