We provide a variety of programs across New York City that harness each person’s existing talents and skills and teach new skills to empower them to be successful in the workplace.
School to Work Program
In collaboration with the New York City Department of Education, AHRC New York City helps individuals in special education classes to smoothly transition from school into AHRC NYC employment programs.

Job Connection Center Clubhouse
Our Job Connection Center, (JCC,) is an innovative program that helps prepare people that are dually diagnosed, (have a mental health diagnosis and developmental disability,) for the demands of employment.

Employment Training Program
This inclusive opportunity allows people with disabilities to seek and maintain long-term employment in the community through an internship that matches their skills and interests.

Pathway to Employment
Within the course of one year, we assist in creating career plans that match the skills and interests of each person. By providing work experiences that advance each person’s strengths and skills, we assist people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to create an individualized career plan that will lead to gainful employment.

Project SEARCH
Project SEARCH Transition-to-Work Program is a one-year employment preparation program that combines classroom instruction and career exploration through on-site internships. Project Search is a one-year, school-to-work high school transition program that takes place entirely at the workplace.

TechXpert
Gain proficiency in today’s most widely used office computer applications through our 12-week program (based in Staten Island) that teaches vital computer skills to individuals with a documented disability. Prepare yourself for the changing work environment. This program includes instruction on basic and advanced skills in a variety of widely used applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and more. Gain proficiency in today’s most widely used office computer applications. Receive individualized job development and job placement services.

Partnership for Inclusive Internships
The Partnership for Inclusive Internships Program works with the New York State Office of Adult Career and Continuing Education Service – Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR) and New York State Commission for the Blind (NYSCB) to provide internships, or community work experiences, for people with disabilities.
