B’lynx is a collaborative group of people from different programs working to engage with our communities through art and volunteering.  Since its launch party in May, the B’lynx Art Cart continues to be a hit wherever it goes. On Saturday, July 22, 2017, the Art Cart was at the Bedford-Franklin-Union Block Association block party where kids did balloon stamping, collages with paper and formed and whatever else their creativity inspired. While there, B’lynx met Laurie Cumbo35th District Council Member, and Ellen Edwards, who is running for civil court judge.

On the following day, B’lynx and the Art Cart joined fellow Citizens Committee for NYC grant winners Together Because at Sunset Park.  Together Because is a citywide network of individuals organizing to build power, take action and develop leadership potential  They hosted a free neighborhood cookout to meet members of the community and listen to their cares and concerns. On August 19th, the Art Cart visited the Save Our Street’s 7th Annual Back to School Playstreet!
