Yesterday marked the two-year anniversary of George Floyd’s murder, putting into focus senseless violence in our nation. In 2022, we continue to grapple with these national evils as shown by the shootings in Buffalo, NY, and Uvalde, TX. AHRC New York City unequivocally condemns these inhumane acts of violence, and we implore our national leaders to enact legislation that will end this constant cycle of tragedy.

After George Floyd’s death, AHRC NYC leadership sent out a message of solidarity with those out on the frontlines of protests against these societal ills. Since then, we’ve continued to move towards being the most diverse and equitable agency we can be, but we know we still have much more work to do. We encourage all of our employees and people we support to speak truth to power and ensure accountability in achieving these goals.
