As reported by silive.com in its In Class column, in June, New York State Education Department Commissioner Betty A. Rosa and Regent Christine Cea visited AHRC NYC’s James P. Murphy Staten Island Preparatory School. As they toured the school, Rosa and Cea watched as students participated in activities in the sensory gym, and met with parents of some students.
“It was an honor to host Commissioner Rosa and Regent Cea at our school,” said Christina Muccioli, AHRC NYC’s Vice President of Education. “What really came across was that Commissioner Rosa hasn’t forgotten the joys and challenges that teachers and families face every day. She truly enjoyed seeing the children.”
