Brittney Ventura and Brandon McElroy, both from the Bronx Futures Program ( a part of Day Hab Without Walls), were recognized on August 13th, 2019, for their volunteer service with The Momentum Project. The Momentum Project provides meals and supportive services in NYC for people living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses, with the intention of inspiring hope in people by strengthening their spirit and improving their quality of life.
Brandon and Brittney have been volunteering with the program at the East 165th Street site in the Bronx as of April this year. Each week they assist the organization by preparing the site for lunch, which includes wrapping utensils, table setting, and food serving. Site coordinators Albert and Angel presented the awards and expressed their sincere appreciation for Brittney’s and Brandon’s continued service. Brittney and Brandon enjoy working with The Momentum Project and were excited and proud to be recognized by the organization.
