What is AHRC?

AHRC is an association founded in 1949 by a group of parents who could not obtain services for their children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

These parents banded together to develop programs and services and to influence the government to change legislation and public policy. Today AHRC has achieved what was once thought impossible.

We have become one of the largest consumer-based nonprofit organizations in New York City, offering programs and services that provide daily assistanc to thousands of individuals of all ages and their families throughout the five boroughs.
