Christopher Treiber returned last year to the organization where he started his career 35 years ago, advancing its mission to achieve equity for people with developmental disabilities. Treiber has expanded the legislative team at AHRC New York City, sought increased funding for people with developmental disabilities and assisted with a statewide advocacy campaign for early intervention. Treiber, who was previously at the Inter Agency Council for Developmental Disability Agencies, has also opposed the Trump administration’s move to dismantle the U.S. Department of Education, including two special education offices.
