As reported by silive.com, AHRC New York City’s Advance & Earn program is working with New York City youth on Staten Island to prepare the next generation of professionals with high-level training in the disability field.
“I didn’t think this was the path I would take, but I can see myself working in the human services field,” said Steven Natal, who enrolled in Advance & Earn in fall 2021. “I can see why it’s so fulfilling. Someone has a bit more trust and faith in you, and you are responsible for supporting that person.”
