At AHRC NYC, we want to know how we’re doing. We ask people who use our services to fill out a satisfaction survey every year. Your answers help us understand what’s going well. We also want to know how we can do better. 
Our survey is for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to fill out. We want to make sure everyone’s voice is heard.  In 2023, we worked to make it easier for everyone to fill out. We used a guide from the Autistic Self Advocacy Network. The survey has both words and pictures to maximize accessibility.

1,829 people filled out the survey this year! That is much more than we expected. More than one in four people at AHRC NYC shared their thoughts with us.

Here’s What You Told Us
We are excited to share this year’s results. The answers tell us we are on the right track. It makes us happy to know most people feel good about the support they get.
The overall satisfaction rate across the organization is 87%! This means nearly 9 out of 10 people are happy with their services.
When we asked more detailed questions, we got more information:
- 87% of people said they always feel supported by AHRC NYC.
- 88% said they always feel respected by the staff.
- 91% said they always feel safe in the services they receive.
These results show us that we are making a positive impact, and that we’re creating a space where people feel valued.
How We’re Following Up
While the results tell us we’re doing a great job, we can always do better. 
One area we are looking at is making sure people’s voices are heard and listened to. We are doing that with smaller group listening sessions and meeting with lots of different people in the five boroughs.
