Marco Damiani, CEO of AHRC New York City, was a guest on WFAN’s PSA Program hosted by Bob Salter on the morning of Sunday, March 6th.

Marco discussed AHRC NYC’s founding and its goal to ensure equity for people with developmental disabilities and our staff’s ability to pivot during the pandemic.

Also discussed were the intense advocacy efforts of AHRC NYC and others for a living wage for its staff and critical budget needs for teachers, our involvement in the creation of one of the largest data sets in the country on COVID-19, its effects on people with developmental disabilities, and how these studies resulted in policy change.  Finally, Marco detailed current program initiatives such as the ArTech Collective, Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, and the 42nd Annual Thurman Munson Awards Dinner.
