Nancy Petrino
3rd Vice President

Nancy PetrinoNancy has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2010 and is currently serving as the 5th Vice President. She also serves as the Chair of both the Incident Oversight Committee and the Sibling Committee, as Vice Chair of the Day Services/Employment & Business Services/Residential Committee, and as a member of the Guardianship Committee, the Executive Committee, and the Membership and Annual Meeting Committee. Nancy is also the Co-Chair of the Manhattan Borough Committee.

Nancy is an advertising and marketing professional, having earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communication and is currently a Broadcast Account Manager with the local investment department of Group M, a global media investment company owned by WPP. In addition to this professional background, Nancy brings to the AHRC NYC Board the perspective of a sibling who needed to advocate and find services for her sister who currently resides in an AHRC NYC residence and attends an AHRC NYC day habilitation program.

Having first been impressed by the fact that AHRC NYC is a family governed organization, and then having found it to be an excellent source of information and services which helped her tremendously as her sister’s advocate, Nancy remains committed to furthering the Board’s mission to help and advocate for people with I/DD and their families, just as it helped her and her sister.  Her volunteer work does not end there. She is also a volunteer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, serving on the PFACQ Committee and the Ethics Committee.
