Make a smooth transition into employment.

In collaboration with the New York City Department of Education, AHRC New York City helps people in special education classes to smoothly transition from school into AHRC NYC employment programs.  Our professional staff help students qualify for State funding with Adult Career and Continuing Education Services – Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES -VR) or the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, (OPWDD) so they can enter into AHRC NYC employment services immediately after graduation.  Students have the choice of entering any of our training or internship programs or being directly placed into an available employment opportunity.

How Do I Request Services?

Information for people with developmental disabilities, their families, and professionals wishing to make a referral for services is available by calling 212-780-4491 (TTY:711) or visiting our Request Services page.
