Eligibility RequirementsThis training program is available to New York City residents who are out of school and not currently employed, ages 16-24, of all abilities.
Our 14-week training program prepares people for a career in environmental services through classroom training, followed by a 6-week hands-on experience in a professional environment.
Preparing for and Finding Work
AHRC New York City offers training programs in specific fields. The training programs begin with work readiness and a focus on resume building, time management, teamwork, and interview preparation, followed by an externship that will provide hands-on experience in a chosen field. At the end of the program, we will assist individuals in finding a job.
Learn Professional Job Skills
Young adults participating in this program will learn basic cleaning methods as well as advanced methods such as floor stripping, scrubbing, and polishing. Hands-on experiences will provide training in landscaping, snow removal, and the use of cleaning machinery.
